My friend is introducing me to a Bunnings Manager for a job. What should I be prepared for?

My friend is introducing me to a Bunnings manager at Mascot (Australia) for a possible casual job. I have had no jobs before but I am very eager to land this one. What should I dress like (its cold outside)…what kind of impression should I land, should I lie about having previous job experience? What about availablity? Even though I am keen to land the job, I can work only about one complete shift a week, as I am in my 3rd year of engineering, should I mention this to him the first day I meet him? Are there any possible catchy/ critical questions he might ask me? Is there any way, I can be prepared to make a good impression on him? Please help

  • If you can only complete one shift a week, it’s pointless meeting him as you will not be suitable for a job. Is this a real interview? We’re you asked by the manager to meet or is this something your friend set up. If the former you need a CV and you must be prepared to work more than a couple of shifts a week else you are not work employing (one shift a week means you are working less than 0.1 FTE – that’s volunteering not working).
