What the ***** is that about. After we got home we saw the tag that said it contains lead. What does that mean, where would it contain lead? Do we need to worry about the lead getting onto us and into our systems? Should we return it? should we file a complaint with Better Business Bureau? Why are they selling purses that contain lead?

Many consumer products contain lead, including the coating on the wires of your Christmas lights. You probably saw the California “Prop 65” tag, which discloses this information. If the bag is plastic, lead may be a component of the manufacture process, if there is metal fittings or decorations, they may be alloys that contain lead.
Do you need to worry about getting the lead onto us and into our systems? … Are you going to suck on the bag or put it in your mouth?
Should we file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau? … No, you have no grounds, since the presence of the lead was disclosed via the tag, and you had adequate opportunity to examine the bag and read any attached tags before purchase.
Why are they selling purses that contain lead? Because it is not yet illegal, in the same fashion that it is with childrens toys.
