My husband doesnt believe me?

What should I do??? My husband doesn’t believe me? My husband came home Thursday nite and found his space heater tipped to the corner from a front right broken leg. The space heater stays in his 15 year old sons room. He asked his two children what happened. His daughter, 11, said when my son, 15, came over Tuesday night he sat on it and broke it. I told him I wasn’t sure if he sat on it or not but I was sure that Wednesday morning when I went into the room, after my son left, to clean up the blankets that my son used when he spent the night Tuesday nite, the heater was working, not tipped in anyway and evenly rolling on its wheels. Thus appeared NOT to be broken. My husband said “my daughter said your son sat on the heater and broke the heater and I believe her”.thus pretty much calling me a liar, which I was telling the truth. My husband didn’t notice that the heater was broken until Thursday nite. My some left early Wednesday morning and hasn’t been back yet (joint custody with his dad).I’m not sure how to handle the situation. The heater was fine Wednesday morning, after my son left, and appeared not to be broken in any way, yet my husband is positive his daughter is right. If he can’t believe me how can the relationship ever work???

  • It’s a space heater…it’s broken…accidents happen…repair or replace it as needed and get on with your lives…to even be arguing over how it got damaged is ridiculous (because in the scheme of things, it really doesn’t matter)…

Next time your child is over, just remind him to be careful around such objects, just in case he had anything to do with it being damaged…even if he did, it was likely unintentional…

If you two are going to argue over petty things like this, your relationship will not work…that’s true…
