After the fourth ear infection in four months, I found out today I needed to schedule my year old son to have tubes put in his ears. They had an immediate opening Friday morning so I scheduled it at am. Problem is, I totally forgot it’s my cousin’s wedding about hours away. Is it ok for him to travel right after surgery? Like leave that same morning after he gets out of the recovery room? I’ve heard kids go back to school the same day, I just don’t want him to be uncomfortable.
You’d be best to call and ask a nurse or your doctor. He’ll probably be fussy and uncomfortable but tylenol or motrin would help with that.
