i downloaded window xp2 from and went i try to run after extracting the files a windows pops up saying “setup has detected that the service pack version of this system is newre that the one you trying to install” can anyone please tell how can i install sp2?? thanks….here’s the link by the way the Microsoft website ( http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?fa… )

you do not need sp2 if sp3 is already installed
I wonder why you want to install SP2. SP3 is the last service pack made which is faster and has better device drivers and better features. You don’t need to install SP2 if you already have SP3.
SP3 –> SP2 would definitely be a downgrade of system, not an upgrade.
=D You may also want to try Linux.
