is there anyone who works for the post office who can answer this for me…
i just went to the post office and posted something with a german address on it but told the man it was going to the uk by mistake, so he gave me a uk 1st class ‘packet’ stamp on there. the amount i paid actually exceeded the amount needed for germany postage, but obviously it was the wrong service. will it get there? thanks for any answers

It probably needs a custom sticker.
Don’t worry about it,….if it doesn’t come back to you ( via your return address) it will get there. In any case it is out of your hands and there is nothing to do but wait.
