Raising awareness… Relationship between teachers and students… injustice?

I am one of many students that don’t get along with certain teachers (I’m in secondary school by the way). In school, teachers always have an advantage over the students; that is they are more likely to be believed and they are automatically right 99% of the time while students (in general) have to suffer in silence. For example, if something were to happen between my maths teacher and I then my maths teacher will try inform the principle or my form tutor before I could complain and the teacher will have an advantage before the situation is even assessed yet.Even if I had spoke to my form tutor first, he will most likely back up my maths teacher. Moreover I might not even get a chance to speak and when I try speaking out for myself it suddenly becomes “arguing” and as a result of this the I don’t get a chance to say my version of what happened and what I think. And even if the I got a chance to speak, I will probably be rushed ( This is just an example, it did not really happen).

I don’t think this is fair and I think that students are made to suffer in silence and don’t get a chance to speak out. If there is anything students can do (in the UK) I’ll be glad to know! Regarding this matter, we are in a dark time and we have to find ways to advance and move forwards. I think that at the moment there is nothing students can do about this, so I’d like to raise awareness. This moves on to my next question ———-> How do I raise awareness?

I really want to know how to raise awareness for this because I don’t want other students to suffer the way I do in school.

  • In schools there should be a student complains box. If not, students should be able to sit and have a discussion of their behaviour with the teacher and others in authority. Sometime teachers come to school stress out due to problems the have and can make bad judgment because of this. I am a teacher and have been for 18 years now, and dispite being a teacher too, I believe a fair discussion and a fair punishment will create better students.
