Riding a pitbike on the street?

I was wondering can you get in to trouble riding a pitbike on a small street with a DOT approved helmet on?

  • Its stupid! if you get caught or someone rings up the cops they will take it off you and scrap it right away.
try and get on a go cart track for the day or a off road track and pay to fly about ( not a park or the street or just a field )
police have KTM’s now and will chase you and will catch you easy and its not worth the risk
  • probably yes. bikes have to be street legal which usually means 3 things
    one you need a headlight
    two need a taillight
    and three turn signals.
now i have owned a pit bike and a 50cc pocket bike and i always rode them around my neighborhood but never on big streets or even some of the like in between streets through neighborhoods. i did get yelled at from a neighbor who said they were calling the cops because of the noise but that just depends where you live and such. my advice is just ride around your house dont go on big streets and get a street leagal moped or a 250 motorcycle if you are serious about riding to places like school and work. hope this helped and be carfull.
