  • I chose to go with fleece because the right kind of wood chips cost a ton where I live. The fleece is nice because you can shake it out and just wash it. I don’t spot clean my pigs cage because I would be picking up poo constantly! I just change his cage everyday (every other day if I’m busy) and that seems to work fine. I have about have about 5 fleece blankets that are just double layered and stitched to fit his cage and at $4.99 a yard it was SO much cheaper than having to buy tons of wood chips. Cleaner too because the chips use to get everywhere. Good Luck!

  • It depends what you like best. Fleece is pretty good, put towels or other absorbent materials under it, spot clean daily and every 5-7 days take it outside and get all the bits of hay off then wash it. 🙂 Nothing gets kicked out the cage and you’re not constantly buying bags of bedding.

If you’re ok with washing it every week then go with fleece.

  • No saw dust it causes respiratory problems. Fleece is ok but you have to change the fleece every 3 days or so. I would use paper base bedding like carefresh or fresh world beddin it helps with the urine Oder.

  • Well, fleece is quicker but you have clean more often. If you want help watch
