i have black hair with a lot of blond hilights and i want to know if i can dye it dark brown without my hilights messinq everything up?!!?!?!?!?!?

  • Most likely, it’ll have light brown spots where the highlights were. Maybe not at first, but after about two weeks or so, it’ll start showing up.

    The exact same thing happened to my hair when I did that (and I had black hair with blonde highlights) but it didn’t look too bad once the highlights showed back up. It was just brown and light brown.

    If possible, have a professional do it and if they’re experienced enough, they should have a good idea how your hair will turn out.

    If you dye it brown again after a little bit (not too soon, you don’t wanna damage your hair) the lighter brown should show up a lot less.

  • Of course you can dye your hair back to one color,the hilights will be gone.Never buy a hairdye in dark brown or even light brown that sais ash it will make it a green tint if you have light hair or highlights in your hair…

  • I’d wait for the highlights to fade before dying it again,just to be on the safe side.It shouldn’t take more than about weeks for most of them to go and then you can probably cover any small ones that are left with the dye.
