  • I remember Viru & Mahela inflicting similar damage on M.I. bowling unit last year, under similar circumstances but failed to advance to the last 4 despite that emphatic performance.
    I hope D.D. can carry on from here. Its too soon to give credit to Viv Richards for a single match or talk about his appointment as the national coach. Let’s wait for the next few matches, as Viv is here till the end of IPL 6.
    His mere presence was electric, as Tendulkar, Sehwag & many other batsmen interacted with him. If he is able to transform D.D.’s fortunes, maybe then BCCI should pay D.Fletcher VRS & get Viv as the Indian coach, as team India has a busy overseas schedule..

  • We saw what his presence could do for the players. Incidentally, Sachin was also speaking to him before the match and he too went on to score a solid half century. Is Ponting listening?

  • When Sehwag bats like that and Mahela comes up with another classic innings,Delhi doesn’t need any moral booster but I agree that Viv Richards being in the team added an extra motivation for them.Irrespective of the format he would be welcome in any side as a Coach :).
