    Initially you have a total volume of:

    w + v = 11 oz

    Also you have: w/v = 1/50

    v is the diluent (I guess), so you need to add x to that to make the ratio go to 1/1000
    –>

    w/(v + x) = 1/1000

    We can solve for x:

    1000w = v + x
    –>

    x = 1000w – v
    –> but w/v = 1/50 –> v = 50w

    x = 1000w – 50w = 950w
    –> but w + v = 11 –> w + 50w = 11 –> w = 11/51

    x = 950 * 11/51 ~ 204.901960784 oz

    Using 1 oz = 29.5735 ml, we get:

    204.901960784 oz * 29.5735 ml / oz ~ 6059.66813725 ml

    …so I got something different but don’t see my mistake, perhaps you can point it out.
