I have a monologue and I am suppose to find some musical refernces to go with my character. Basically, I need songs talking about how a girl thinks.love will prevail in the end but then learns the hard way that thats not the case. I want a slow song with kind of a soft rock sound like Maroon 5 or even acoustic like Ed Sheeran. I am trying to find a song like Philadalphia by Parachute, because it has a line that says “she thought that love was gonna save her” and then later it says ” but love just never showed”, something like that. Like, believing in love but never being able to have it and finding out that it does not always work out. Thank you!!!
