sync issue with outlook 23 and exchange 23?

Does the mailbox folder in the system manager contain all items sent, received, etc??

I’m looking under

Exchange > servers > server_name > mailbox store > mailboxes > ‘total items’

I’m trying to determined if it’s finally synced right and I didn’t want to lose any work the person has already done in outlook.

Does deleting the exchange account from outlook and re adding thru control panel > email

delete any sent/received from outlook?

And is there a way to receive all the emails listed in the exchange without sending all the emails already sent?

Obviously I’m hopelessly lost as this not my forte but am trying to save time/money of an IT call.

Please help 🙁

  • The number of items listed in the mailbox in system manager is accurate, but it also represents calendar items, contacts, tasks, etc.

No, if you delete Outlook, or the Outlook profile from your computer, it will not delete or affect the Exchange mailbox. Once you login to Outlook from any computer, the mailbox will be intact.

And regarding your question about receiving all the emails from the mailbox without sending them. There is several things you can do.

    1. You can grant permissions on the mailbox to yourself or other users. You will need to do this in Outlook. Then you can open and display this mailbox in your own Outlook.

    2. You can export the mailbox to a .PST file. Then import the emails to your mailbox. You can then forward that mailbox to yours, so any new emails will go directly to you.
