Taekwondo training???

For people who take taekwondo I always see all this flexibility and amazing kicking motions and tricking like the 540 kick and all these other crazy kicks well I just wanted to know how do you guys get so flexible and manage to learn all these moves and I myself want to take some classes to learn these kicks and get more flexible so I can mix my kickboxing up a little. Do all these taekwondo schools teach these moves or only some?? I’m really interested in learning all these kicks 🙂

  • With all the practice.

  • The more you train, the more it will come to you. At blue belt they should teach you most of the kicks. Kicks takes 1-2 weeks for training. At yellow belt you should be really flexible, if not then they’re gonna do some exercises that would hurt a lot :).

  • Those kicks are mainly part of the sport version of tae kwon do. True/classic/traditional (however you want to call it) probably has some of these kicks, since they were used to knock horsemen of their horse. I can hardly see someone being fast enough to pull these off today, but that because many of the schools are bad.

  • only the sport school teaches these kicks, most of the traditional schools dont use them.

they may look nice but they are not always useful in a real situation

  • Stick to your Kickboxing classes. They’re much more practical. TKW kicks LOOK cool, but try fighting with them.

  • It comes naturally in training
