Tattoo artists that specialize in african american skin?

I’m looking for a tattoo artist in the Los Angeles county area, that specializes in African American skin. I want a bold, bright colored half sleeve on both of my arms. I’ve read, I need to find a tattoo artist that has experience with African American skin, because with the wrong needle depth, it could cause scarring or keloids. I also don’t know if the bright colors will show on my skin tone, I’m between dark caramel to a toffee tone of brown. So if someone has information regarding my concerns, or where I can find a tattoo artist in my area with information, that would be great! Thanks.

Has someone told you the needle depth makes a difference on tattooing African American skin? Because it doesn’t. It has to do with the voltage on the power supply. Any tattoo artist that has experience and is talented should know this. I wish I could help, but I can simply tell you to google some shops, stop in and take a look at their portfolios. Make sure they have what you’re looking for.

If you ever head to Vegas for a tattoo, my guy does great on dark skin (sometimes I think better than on light skin.)
