Tax rebate in the UK?

I have put in an application for a tax rebate and I don’t know how they’ll get back to me. Is it through email? Since I have done it I have been getting junk mail from “HMRC” claiming that I have so much to get back from them but the email tells me that I can’t phone them to discuss this email. Obviously, I wasn’t born yesterday and I do realize that it could be a scam so I’m just wondering how they get back to me on the tax rebate?

  • it’s a scam

The HMRC will NEVER contact anyone by email for any reason. Read their own website’s warning

    http://www.hmrc.gov.uk/security/examples.htm

“HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) will never send notifications of a tax rebate by email, or ask you to disclose personal or payment information by email.

Do not visit the website contained within the email or disclose any personal or payment information.”

All communication is sent through the post in an offiical brown HMRC envelope. On the front of the envelope you will see

    HM Revenue & Customs

    Private

    ENV 276 C

printed in the upper right hand corner

On the back of the envelope it will be printed:

    If undeliverable please return to:

    HMRC Accounts Office

    Cumernauld

    GLASGOW

    G70 5TR

If you got an email it’s always going to be a scam as all HMRC communication is always by post or if you ring them. http://search2.hmrc.gov.uk/kbroker/hmrc/contactus/…

  • in case you have by no ability had a tax rebate, it in all probability ability you have been paying the right quantity of tax. in case you desire to verify which you’re paying the right quantity and to be sure in case you’re due a tax rebate you will could desire to touch your tax workplace, you will locate the main factors on your final tax code notification, you will desire the reference quantity too which would be on your final P60. you in hassle-free terms get a rebate in case you have paid too plenty tax over the 3 and sixty 5 days.

  • if you applied online you need to abandon that online address forever. Online application is a stone cold 1% scam. we do not work online except in a tiny number of speciual cases.

Why do you think you are due a rebate?
