This name with a blonde?

You see, my best friend’s mom is having a girl in about 3 weeks, and they are struggling to find a good name. We all know that she’s gonna be blonde (the whole family is blonde, and I don’t think there has ever been any family member of theirs who had not had these warm light brown eyes. I am not joking, the whole entire freaking family has the same really bright blonde hair and the same eyes. Must be really strong genetics.)

Anyways, Alisha (best friend) is slightly obsessed with the name, “Eleanor”, and I have to admit I’m in love also. It’s just a strong, beautiful, regal name for someone.

The only problem is, is that she’s worried that it doesn’t fit someone with the family’s signature hair color.

She thinks that it fits someone with black/brown hair, not the strong banana color that she knows the baby is going to have.

Do you think she’s right? Can you, yourself, see a little blonde girl running around with the name of Eleanor? What do you think of the name Eleanor?

Then again, maybe Alisha’s mom will suddenly have a ginger baby, but the chances of that are extremely improbable. Alisha’s great grandmother’s great-aunt had the same exact hair color as her!

Thank you ahead of time!

  • I know a little blonde girl named Eleanor so it is completely feasible.

Really though I don’t think hair color should dictate what a person is named. Hair color can always be changed – mine currently has green tips, last year I had it ombre’d.

  • I think Eleanor is fine for a blond! One of my friends names is Eleanor, she goes by Ella and she’s a blond.

I love blondes! If I had a blonde I would probably call her either Grace or Summer because all the Graces I know are blondes and I think Summer fits for a blonde, I’m a blonde and my nickname is summer because of it 🙂
