I’ll keep it short and sweet:
Be friendly to everyone.
Show that you care about your schoolwork- word extremely hard. School always comes first!
Show that you care about people.
Be strong, have your own opinion.
Be a leader, not a follower.
Try to have school spirit.
Don’t get involved in drama. if you do, be mature about it.
Always look like your having a blast!

Really depends on what kind of school you’re going to. Some schools are very academically rigorous and others you could sleep through and pass with flying colors.
Either way, dont procrastinate (although Im % you probably will). Do plenty of extra curriculars and get as many volunteer hours as you can WITHOUT compromising grades or study time. Be nice to your teacher even if it kills you (for teacher reccomendations), but dont be a suck up.
