Depends honestly.
If he is being mean in a playful way then he likes you if he is being mean to you in front of you and your friends or in front of his friends, maybe he’s just being a jerk and could honestly care less.
Evaluate what kind of “mean” he is doing to you first, if its a daily thing then yes he probably does like you, if its every once in a while he probably does not.

It’s both true and false. I pick on everyone in my life equally. It’s my way of showing them that they’re important to me. So yes my girlfriends have always been given a hard time. But so have my friends, my family, and people i would love to see get thrown off a cliff.
