  • They will have a really close bond by being twins and may crave for a bit if individuality when they are a bit older can you imagine how embarrassed they would be introducing themselves as bill and ben, there is loads of cool names out there don’t be afraid to be a bit different look at some irish names they are spelt really differently and sound really nice.

  • I think for girl twins that is pretty normal to have cute littly rhyming names, however boy twins would grow up to hate that. I only know because my husband is a twin!!

I don’t mean any disrespect, but boys are far more sensative then they seem. The name complex is hard to get over in early education. So think long and hard about the names and any joke that could go along with it. Prepare yourself for grief no matter what you name them. Someone else always thinks thier name would be a better on for your child. Even your family and closest friends!

Just remember that your children are gifts from God! Their names are just form of communication, they in now way shape or form will have any bearing on how they will turn out!

    Congratulations and good luck!!

  • I think 2 individual names are better than2 similar ones. After all don’t you want them to be individuals. Richard and Michael are 2 very different names but they are both quite good I think Have a few names that you can both agree on to some extent or else choose one each. But when they are born names will seem to fit I think. Good luck anyway

  • I gave my girls names with the same root of Claire which was my favorite girl’s name. I ended up with Clarissa and Clarina but Clarina goes by Chloe. I didn’t know they would be the right names at first- my husband was the one determined to have them so similar. I was against it. Then my mother-in-law said “I don’t like Clarina I’ll just call her Chloe.” I loved it so I went with it. For a while I thought I should have just named her Chloe instead of Clarina but when she got to school she said she wanted to go by Clarina instead. Now there are so many Chloes I’m glad she has that choice instead of being stuck with it.

Anyway you can go similar just be sure to have some distictive nicknames. Here’s some of my suggestions

    Aden James

    Jaden Daniel

Then you can go with A.J. or J.D.

Maybe use the same initials like

    Aaron Michael

    Alexander Mitchell

    Here’s a few more:

    Jacob, Joshua

    Matthew, Michael

    Daniel, David

    Ethan, Evan

    Taylor, Tyler

    Isaac, Isaiah

    Joseph, Joshua

    Nathan, Nicholas

    Jonathan, Joshua

    Alexander, Benjamin

    James, John

    Brandon, Brian

    Dylan, Tyler

    Christian, Christopher

    Jacob, Jordan

    Jaden, Jordan

    Alexander, Anthony

    Ethan, Nathan

    Jacob, Joseph

    Jordan, Joshua

    Landon, Logan

    Nathan, Noah

    Nicholas, Noah

    Jason, Justin

    Jeremiah, Joshua

    Andrew, Anthony

    Nathaniel, Nicholas

  • DONT EVER GO FOR SIMILAR NAMES, they might look the same but they will be two different persons if you would have named your two boys of ages 2 and 3 similar names then go ahead but i doubt you would. You might be arguing with your partner now about the names but once youve found the names you want youd know it besides there are lots of other things to worry about at the moment lots of people only decide the names ons the baby(s) are born. Enjoy being pregnant for now.

  • Personally I like using similar names like:Jacob and Jackson, Nicholas and Alexander, Jared and James, Matthew and Mitch. What you should do is find names that are short or long names have the same number of letters. You know its the right name only after you look at the babies and write down a list of names you like. Congrats and Good Luck!

  • I think similar sounding names for twins is a great idea. Like Adam and Aaron, Marshall and Matthew, Jodie and Jenna. I don’t think it takes anything away from there individuality. And you ll feel when the name is right, you just say it one day and go “yeah thats it” Good luck!!

  • do not under any circumstances give them rhyming or similar sounding names – they are going to have a tough time looking the same, you dont want to add to their individuality issues by giving them dodgy rhyming names.

choose two completely different names that go together nicely and compliment each other…

    Noah and Ethan

    Matthew and Finn

    William and Charlie

    Tyler and Kayden

OR – you could choose names according to their meaning. e.g. give both children a name that means “strong” in different languages.

  • Why not have individual first names, but give them second names that start with the same letter or sound the same?

    Daniel James

    Nathan John

    Connor Michael

    Rhyss Mathew

Or how about (if the first letters of yours and you bf’s are close together) Choose names from inbetwen them. Or if you next to each other in the alphabet, follow on. Eg:

    you begin with K

    bf begin with N

= a boy names begining with L and one with M

    or

    bf begin with J

    you begin with K

    = boys names begining with L and M or H and I

    Just a suggestion really.
