two completely different graphics card?

my tower currently has a GTX550TI, and i want to upgrade to a GTX660TI. my mother board has room for multiple graphics cards. Is it possible to run them together?

I just don’t want to throw away my 550ti, and i kinda want 4 displays, so i that’s probably the most i’ll be doing with 2 graphics cards. But if i can get a performance boost, that’ll be great too.

  • you cant use 2 different video cards in your computer at the same time, unless you are using the other as a dedicated physx card.

  • there is not any thank you to run the two one among them adjacently. they have diverse shape, so they gained’t artwork mutually. however if, once you will installation GTX 660, it is going to rapidly be acknowledged by your pc because of fact the traditional pictures adapter and the in-built pictures of the processor would be disabled.

  • If you have a powerful enough power supply and processor, go for it.
