  • Are you looking for information on how much traffic a website gets (contary to the answer about Alexa.com this does not track all traffic only people who have the alexa toolbar installed) or are you looking for advice on how to increase the traffic to your website ?

    If the former, there is no reall way to find out about traffic to a website unless you own that site, when you can look at log files or programs like Google Analytics.

    If you are looking for advice on how to increase traffic then you need to try and get relevant links into your site, this can be via blogs (either your own or comments on others), articles with links in, links on other sites (but be aware that not all links are equal), writing good quality stuff on your own site that people find interesting enough to link to naturally, putting adverts on other sites (banner ads for example). Another option is to use systems like Google Adwords to display ads on search results although this can prove expensive.

  • Before you go splashing cash on traffic blazer and other like for like items.. listen very carefully, I shall say this only once.. The cheapest (free) way to boost and improve your searchability in all search engines is to have links to other sites.. It only works if both site hold the link and you want to be linking to sites with better traffic stats than your own..
