What are some DIY items I can make and sell?

I’m a teenager and I see girls my age making hairbows, headbands, phone cases, etc. on etsy and some other places. I don’t necessarily want to sell stuff online, I might just sell it in my town. What are some fun things like that that aren’t really hard to make and might sell good? If you could include pictures please do. Thank you!

  • Perler bead jewelry and pins are a pretty cool thing to make. My bf actually made alot of things out of those beads and got a lot of cash from doing it. Making iron on graphic tees look pretty neat to if you create your own image on a computer. You can also watch diy fashion tutorials on youtube and sell them locally such as galaxy print sneakers or flag denim vests which are pretty trendy among teenagers.

  • I don’t have any samples, but I have heard that people make money taking arts and crafts to flea markets in their areas. They may have to pay a little for booth fee, but they have made many times the money back. One friend of mine would make Christmas lights in a ball shape. They are about the size of a basketball and she used some plastic cups, string lights, and a glue gun to glue them together into a ball with an attachment where you can hang them up. When you use multi-color blinking lights, they are so pretty. A head start on Christmas ornaments may be a good idea. Some people use dough to harden and cut Santa Clause ornaments out, place a little hanger, and shellac. Or, you could start your own car wash business, but it’s a lot of work.

  • When I lived in Ohio we used to have really nice estate auctions where people would sell entire houses full of possessions at auction (usually when someone passed). I used to attend auctions on Saturdays and buy stuff to resell. Then I’d put an ad craigslist for the items I’d bought and peddle them off. Sometimes I’d ebay the stuff which was easier in a sense but I didn’t make quite as much. I started with about $ invested and grew it to pretty much supply me with $ a week spending money. But I pretty much spent one Saturday morning a month at the auction too.

  • If you are good at sewing, you could make leotards and dance outfits and sell them on Etsy. My sister is a cheerleader, and she bought a custom bodysuit to wear with her uniform this fall. She paid $ for it.

  • Well if there is more than company that sells it then most of the time you can make and sell it

  • You know the plastic bags horse, and chicken feed come in.. They’re making tote bags out of them.(sewing)
