What are your thoughts on surfing being a huge hit with crowds?

I personally like the fact that the sport is growing so quickly, as it means that it may eventually become an equal to other sports. Surfing is often underrated, and people who havent surfed will not understand that surfing is something that needs to be kept in our modern world.

I do however, find that the thing that annoys me the most, is when people who have absolutely no idea what they are doing, come in the water, throw their boards around to get under big waves, and get in the way of us as we are trying to surf. I think that people need to be respective of surfing and the people who do it. They are welcome to come in , but they should start the way we did. At 1ft beach breaks . Not at 3ft reef breaks. I surfed my local reef break a couple days ago, and there were these people who didnt know how to surf and where putting themselves and the rest of us in extreme danger. I kinda wish that surfing wasnt as recognized as it is though, so that the people who were really meant to surf, could surf in peace.

Surfing is the best sport known to man kind. SO it is natural that surfing is a big hit. But to me it does not seem like more people are surfing. It’s crowded as all get go but it’s been crowded for as far back as I can remember. So .. jump in and join us!
