What can i do to get more rotation on my shot?

My shot in basketball has no rotation. I met a guy and said that there were these like kinda like stress balls where you squeeze them and they make your palms and hand stronger and said it would help. What are those called and what else can i do to make there be more rotation

  • The best way is to do wrist curls.

get a bar and put weight on it and hold the bar behind your back. Hold your hands so they are touching each other behind your back while gripping the bar.

Make sure your knees are slightly bent.

Curl the bar using just your wrist.

make sure your arms and hands are relaxed as far down as possible while resting against your back which you use to push the weights against your body.

do about 20 lbs and do 3 sets of 20 reps.

If thats to easy bump the weight up but even like 10 lbs at 20 reps will give you strength in your wrist to put spin on the ball.

  • You don’t always need a lot of rotation in your shot to be a good shooteer the key is get just enough rotation to compliment your form , so just lay back with a balll and just keep throwing it up with your fingers til you get a comfortable form than go shoot around with it until you find a good form if your not comfortable with your form .

  • The stress balls would help, also doing wrist exersises would help but it’s mostly form. You need a good follow through for rotation, try some 1hand form shooting and Carlton shooting, both those drills should help

  • 1. Make sure your middle finger is last finger to leave the ball

    2. Make a U with your right thumb and finger not a L

    3. Practice your butt off

  • Hey. This really works. Ask someone to throw a baseball to you and swing a bat to hit it. Oh wait… That’s baseball
