i have to dress up in the ‘s type clothing but i dont think i have anything. can anyone help me come up with something, im not working with alot but ideas will help.

Lets start from the top:
Hair: Tease it big. I’m talking with a ton of mouse. Put a big cloth headband to top it off. If you’re a guy, they used to cut patterns into their hair like how Danny McBride had his hair in Tropic Thunder.
Necklaces: Everyone in the ‘s had a ton of necklaces. Wear at least all at different lengths. Big dangling earrings work too. Most of the time the earrings didn’t match. Thick plastic bracelets were big in the ‘s also.
Shirts: Half shirts were all the rage. If you’re a person who isn’t comfortable with half shirts get a shirt that’s a few sizes bigger than you are and tie it in a knot on the bottom to make it tighter. The knot has to be off to the side. You can either tie it in a simple knot or use a hair tie. Layering shirts was also pretty big. Get two different colored shirts. One of them has to be a tank top. The other, cut the collar and sleeves off of a t-shirt. If you can, also cut the t-shirt into a half shirt and wear that on top. For men, half shirts were also popular. Just look at Mahoney in the first Police Academy.
Pants and Skirts: Jeans with rips, stretch pants (the ones with the hoops in the feet) were big. You have to put the pants on, and then the socks and then wear flats. Leggings with ballerina skirts work too.
Socks: Wear two to three pairs of socks all different colors and different lengths. You have to scrunch the socks down but still make sure everyone can see the colors.
Patterns: Nothing matched. You can wear damn near any pattern with any color and it will look cool. Neon colors were huge in the ‘s as well as polka dots, checks and stripes.
I suggest you go to a thrift store. Most of that stuff in there really is from the ‘s.
