He changed music and the way it is presented and consumed forever. Before him teenagers had no voice, they were repressed by their parents. Elvis allowed them to break out and have their own opinions and choice of music. He also openly displayed natural sexuality, which until then was denied.
He broke down racial barriers and opened the door for black artists who were unknown to white audiences.
