I rented a ballroom in a hotel and hired a decorator that decorated the venue in the theme of “cirque du soleil”. Everyone dresses semi formal and i had a homecoming type dress on. We hired a DJ and we just danced and ate food and stuff. There was about 60 people.
Well, I haven’t had my sweet 16 yet. Mine is in October. But I do have my theme all set up and planned. 🙂 I’m super excited. I actually got my idea from www.wheremyheartis.com its a blog I found. I’m having a vintage inspired photo shoot sweet 16. A few of my good friends are coming over and we’re each getting a 20 or 30 minute long mini photo shoot then we’re doing group photos at our homemade photo booth! I’m just basically doing a photo both that people do at weddings, except it won’t be wedding themed props. After the photo shoot part of it is over I’m having a ‘catered dinner for my friends and I. My mom and grandma are going to act like waiters and stuff(they suggested it) and will serve us a 3 course meal. (: all the decor and table settings and stuff will be vintage-y and whatnot. We’re having a candy/snack bar and at the end of the night, the girls get to take home a little decorated brown bag of candy and their photos and maybe a prop or two if we have enough for everyone, which we should. I’m super excited. I had originally planned a nightclub themed party, but that’s too much work and money. I also don’t really have enough friends I’d invite for it to be fun and worthwhile. And its been done a lot before. Any who, that’s my idea for mine. I hope it was helpful. (:
