Because of their small sizes, sparrows like some other birds have a number of predators like eagles,cats and snakes.They are rare to spot nowadays in cities.but i have to say that pollution and urbanization are the biggest threats that these creatures really face.
They always fly for cover when a small hawk is after them – like the Coopers Hawk, Merlin, Goshawk and sharp shinned hawk.
They won’t react the same way with mammal predators, just the avian predators get this reaction.
