What do you believe happens after death?

Do you know what happens after death? Let me your thoughts! It is really important to think about right now because, after all, death comes to everyone unpredictably. Check out the sad statistics below:

Current statistics about deaths worldwide:
107 deaths every minute; 6,390 deaths every hour; and 153,0 deaths every day.

This is what I believe:

I believe that there certainly is a life after death, specifically a Heaven and a Hell. The Holy Bible speaks about the existence of these eternal places. Many people are skeptical because it seems highly impossible for such places to exist. Anyways, below I have written what are the “qualifications” to enter Heaven and avoid Hell and vice versa. And it is not what you would expect:

The problem with humanity:
All humans are born with a sinful/rebellious nature (Psalm 51:5/Romans 5:12-13). As a result, all humans have sinned against a Holy God (Romans 3:23). There is no person who does good and does not sin (Ecclesiastes 7:20). All forms of sin such as; lying, theft, blasphemy (using God’s name in vain), coveting, idolatry, fornication, and etc., is hated by a Holy and Perfect God (Revelation 21:8). And because God is Good, Just, and Holy, He cannot tolerate sin, not even one, and will eventually punish all have sinned against him ( 2 Thessalonians 1:8). Every is form of sin is punishable by Eternal Hell because God Himself is Eternal and Holy. No amount of “good” works can erase the punishment of the crime. The punishment for sin is death/Hell (Romans 6:23). At day of Judgement, every single person will have to give an account of his/her actions (Matthew 12:36).

The solution to the problem:
Thankfully, God is also Merciful, Gracious, and Loving that he provided a way, so that we sinful humans can be saved from the condemnation of Hell! The love of Agape begins when Jesus Christ (God incarnate) became a human being, led a perfect sinless life, and eventually suffered and died on the cross to take the punishment that sinful humans deserved, thus demonstrating his love for us (1 John 4:10/Romans 5:8). Then Jesus rose from the grave, defeating death (1 Corinthians 15:4). But, in order to receive the free gift of Eternal life and forgiveness from all of your sins, you must: Place your faith/trust in Jesus Christ for your salvation and repent from your sins (John 3:16/Acts 17:30). The moment you do that, you will be receive Eternal life and receive forgiveness from all of your sins, because of God’s grace and mercy!

  • If you’ve been a good person in human life and go to church, you shall go to heaven and have eternal life. If not you shall be burned in hell.

  • i think you are re born but you will never know unless it happens but you wont remember so why even try right?

  • Its hard to answer this question but i believe we just pass away and turn to dust. also believe that everyone should be good just to be good. Hope that helps.

  • After death, peaceful, loving silence. Followed by nothing. No warmth, no chill, no light, no dark, no hustle, no bustle. I’m sorry I don’t share your views on heaven and hell. I just can’t put much faith in a being that is all powerful, yet so callous. So monsterous in himself that he ignores the very life he chose to create. It’s not a God, just a spoilt brat with a new toy that deserves a hand across the backside. God be damned.

  • Looks like this was more you pulpit than a question. According to your theory. All those guys on death row that ask for forgiveness before they sit in the chair, go to heaven but a god fearing man who spent his entire life helping others goes to hell because he glanced at a woman’s figure just before getting hit by a bus. After all he did commit one of the deadly sins (lust) and did not ask for forgiveness for it.

I also find people that quote scripture to be ignorant. To take a single sentence out of a much larger story to place a message on is foolish. This is like saying that Hansel and Gretel where evil because the pushed an old woman into an over to kill her. After all, even the bible has many passages that are false. Do a few passages make the whole of the work and it’s meaning? Of course not, that would be ignorant to say.

To answer the question, even though you made it obvious that you don’t care what others think, I think that after we die, that’s it. Game over. No, I was not raised to be atheist and I would like to believe that there is life after death but I don’t. I would love to know that my mom that recently passed has went on to heaven and I will see her again some day but in reality I know that everything she was is gone and all that is left of her is buried in the ground. The only part of her that still lives in the memory of friends and family.

Do not preach to me, when most other people were being read Goldilocks and Red Riding Hood, I was read the bible for bed time stories. Since then I have read the entire Bible, not just passages, may times on my own. That’s the K.J. version that was given to me by my late mother.

  • I do think there is life after death. What life, I cant say because I have yet to die. My grandmother use to tell me not to be scared of death because You never really die, only your body does. That we have borrowed body’s and one day were going to have to return them to get a new one. That your soul will always live on, but not your body. I am not scared of dying because I always look around and say it cant be much worse then living. I am scared on HOW i am going to die sure, isn’t everyone? But of what awaits me afterwards, no.

  • Death is an absence of life. The Bible draws the contrast: “The wages sin pays is death, but the gift God gives is everlasting life.” (Romans 6:23) Showing that death is a state of total unconsciousness, the Bible says: “For the living are conscious that they will die; but as for the dead, they are conscious of nothing at all.” (Ecclesiastes 9:5) When a person dies, the Bible explains: “His spirit goes out, he goes back to his ground; in that day his thoughts do perish.”—Psalm 146:3, 4.
