I ski in the winter so I’m thinking about taking up long boarding for summer. I just want something to cruise around on and eventually carve. Would the Gold Coast Modra be a good first board?

Yeah its good for cruising around and a little bit of carving. As a first board i would say this board is good, as i lets you pick up the basics of long boarding. Later If you want to slide and go fast down hills without wobble i would recommend this board http://www.raynelongboards.com/component/com_rokec…
But as a first board the Gold Coast Modra looks alright.
