I tried to print something off my new laptop by connecting it to my printer and it said it needs trouble shooting so I did that and it said the printer dosesnt have a driver???

Take the CD that came with the printer and insert it in your computer
Turn the printer on
Disconnect the usb cable, and do not reconnect it until prompted to do so on the monitor

Do you have an installation disc that came with your printer? If you do run it on your laptop because that will have the driver on it. If you do not then go to the website of your printer and look for yours,you should be able to download the drivers from there and update anything that needs it.

There should have been a disk that came with your printer. This disk contains the driver and the software for your printer. Each computer that uses the printer needs to have this software and driver loaded.
