What is an average royalty rate on a bought out company holding patents?

Company (X) is looking to buy out a corporate investor Company (Y). (Y) still wants access to the patents held by (X), but are otherwise somewhat willing to be bought out. If (Y) would retain access to these two patents, we would like to negotiate a royalty deal that would share profits with (X)

Look up rates of these royalties, what metric the royalty is dependent on (gross revenue as an example), what are common obligations between the two companies in these agreements, how accounting the royalty rates is verified, upsides, downsides, etc.

A deal between (X) & (Y) will not be an exclusive license. It will be a fee (expense) for (Y) to sell any product that would otherwise infringe on these two patents.

What is a reasonable royalty in the patent is infringed upon?
