Social Worker, they usually make less than 40k a year (only a few make more but that depends on experience and area….rich area vs poor area).
It is a career. Have to get your education and get a license to be a social worker.
Keep in mind, social workers dont just simply take the kids away from parents. There has to be reason to be taken away (abuse, neglect, etc) and social workers do other things. They also help in placing children who are up for adoption, communicating with birthparents for reunification, communicating with foster parents and prospective adoptees on the behavior and well being if the child in their care (are they doing ok without birth parents, are they getting proper counseling, are they acting out, etc). Social worker do a lot of things.
