I have a new printer its an Epson XP-202, I have been busy printing documents mainly legal documents so pretty much black and white with the odd coloured form, I bought extra black inks expecting the black ink to go quickly which it did, I have tried replacing the black ink but the ink warning light wont go off and I can’t seem to print anything at all now, I don’t suppose one of the colours has gone too I haven’t really used colour, not sure if for normal black text it uses any other colour other than the black, maybe I need to change all the inks at once I am not sure. If anyone has one of these printers and knows what the problem is please let me know, thanks.
Update:
I tried removing and replacing the ink several times, I put the inks in myself when I first bought it and I just ripped the yellow tab off the side of the ink cartridge, nothing else, so I did the same again with the new ink, I have tried 2 different black inks and I can’t get the light to go off, the inks are proper epson ones; will check the troubleshooting to see if that helps, thanks :-S

Check your color inks
With most printers, you are required to have ink in both the black and color ink cartridges in order to print in black as color ink is needed in this process. They work in conjunction with each other. So you will need to have the both usable color and black ink cartridges with ink, the same thing applies for color. Take the cartridge out and put it back in again. Make sure it is seated properly. Did you remove it’s sealing tape before installing? Easy mistake to make.
If you print mosty black, consider a cheap mono laser printer.
