What should I do about Best Buy?

My computer recently broke down, no video display and fan problem. I brought it to Best Buy for them to make my dad pay $70 for just checking the system. They told me I had a motherboard failure when I did not. When I got my computer back, I simply took the battery out and replaced it. I took there feedback survey and told them the had terrible service. The manager emailed me back and said ” I read about your frustrating experience and apologize, that is not how we like to handle any situation. I’m currently looking into your specific interaction in order to coach and train our associates for future interactions, therefore, thanks for your feedback. Please let me know what I can do to help you. Either email me or call me at the store and I’ll do the best I can for you. Thanks again for your comments, and I look forward to speaking to you”. What should I do?

  • Please stop going to Best Buy for repairs.. bring it to a real shop or buy new (prices are so low now)… Those guys just run a piece of software to determine issues. They know NOTHING.

  • I would ask for the $70 back. Start networking with friends. Alot of people are knowledgeable about computers. So if its not under warranty, repairs can be expensive.
