What Should I Do About This Girl?

I am practically in love with a girl at my school right now. She drives me crazy. I have wanted a relationship with her for so long but she is straight. My friend says that I should tell her how i feel but i don’t think that’s a good idea. I don’t want her to feel awkward but at the same time i really like her and she is starting to control my day to day life. I have not told anyone her name or anything else about her. What should I do?

  • I think you are right. it would not be a good move to tell her how you feel. She’s still going to be straight so it wo’n’t get you anywhere and there would be every possibility that it would make her uncomfortable.

    I am afraid that you’ll come up against this problem again and again in life, where you like someone who is unavailable for some reason (or you are unavailable for some reason). This happens to us all and we have to learn to cope.

    However you feel about it, you do have, and can exercise, control over your life. You do not have to let her dictate or control your day-to-day life. It does mean you making a conscious decision not to let that happen, and when you do find it happening, making sure that you stop what is happening. It is hard to start off with but does get easier with practice. This is a case of forcing logic to override emotion.
