  • Every coach is different.. I would talk to a coach or talk to a player that has already gone through tryouts at your school… They would best tell you what to expect…. You coach will decide your position based upon performance, needs of the team and the talent available…… Good luck….

  • A middle school football tryout is a test of strength and conditioning, consisting of several running, and possibly lifting, drills.

My best advice for you is to work hard and perform very well in practice every day. In addition, what you need to do this summer is eat healthy, exercise by doing weight lifting, and either jogging or going for a long run every day. If you do these things, you will get faster, stronger, and into better shape for your middle school football tryout.

At most middle schools, the coach usually decides which students make the football team, and what positions they play, based on their performance during football practice/tryouts. However, there are some middle school football coaches that will allow their players to choose their positions.

By the way, based on your height and weight, as well as your ability to run and truck very well, I believe that the best fit for you is at running back. You have the ideal size for a middle school running back.

  • Get out and do it, to get ready you should be running, you will run a lot. Drink lots of water the night before your practice. Keep you head up always look at the coaches, ask them what you can do to get better. Do some extra work before practice, and a little after even if it is just running laps around the track. Enjoy it lasts a lifetime!

  • Usually you will most likely go theough different staions (speed drills, throwing, catching, blocking, etc) and coaches assign you a position and pick the best
