  • i would be really thirsty

  • If the world ran out of water it would be like Venus and life would not be able to survive

  • It is impossible for the world to run out of water. Water is taken in by living things. Small amounts are never excreted though. These amounts seep out of our body when we die.

Also, if there is an extreme shortage of water, we can switch to desalinization, where we take water from the oceans, which will not run our for at least a million years. And by that time, we will be dead due to climate change anyway.

  • that’s a very interesting question and i would say that is very unlikely that happen. Even if the world as some people say wont have any more water on its lakes and glaciers we are on our way to develop the desalination process that will make us drink the water from the ocean. I think this wont taste as good as the regular water but we are humans and we will adapt to the new environment.

  • The world can’t run out of water, it covers 3/4 of the surface, a better question is what will happen to the third world contries that can’ afford desalinization plants

  • We would have to go to the ocean for water. But if we ran out of water altogether, the world would have no more clouds, people, plants, animals, etc. The world would literally be dried up and sort of be like mars is now.

  • What would happen if the world ran out of water?

    or

What will happen when the world runs out of water?

Do you mean clean water? Because it is impossible to run out of water.

  • i will answer with how little we really got as potable water ,out biggest resources were locked in ice ,and that is now melting and running into the sea ,

the future Wars will be for water ,for those who survive Americas lunge for world supremacy ,which may very well include a nuclear war of global proportions ,

And the world already is running out of Potable water in Many places in India,China ,Africa ,And Mexico that i know of ,

but there must be more by now

25% of the planets surface is land

75%of the surface is water and it is rising

    ——————————…

97%of the Earths water is salt

fresh water is only 3% of all the Earths water

most of it is beyond out reach

now much ice is melting and running into the seas fresh water lost for ever.

STORAGE or Location of % of the fresh water

    ice and glaziers 74%

    —————————–

    groundwater 8 meters + 13.5 %

    groundwater less than 8meters 11.o%

    Lakes 0.3%

    soils 0.6%

    Atmospheric in circulation 0.35%

    rivers 0.03%

frozen land or permafrost is not included and represent an unavailable storage of 40%

so of the 3% about 11.6 ,is easily available to us ,in rivers, lakes and ground water surface aquifers, more and more of this is becoming contaminated

  • that is impossible 80% of the world is water, not all drinkable, but we could purify or something like that.

If the world ran out of water everyone and everything would die. Some animals get their water from fruits but after a few weeks without water the plants would probably die.

  • Then all life thats uses water including use would die in a heart beat. And the sky would change colors because there would be no reflection of light from the water.

  • Maybe we can run out of *clean* water to drink, but we can’t run out of water itself. But no matter how much you drink, it goes right back out of you as sweat, pee, etc. While the other ingredients of those liquids stay around, the water part evaporates cleanly back into the air and comes back as rain.

So basically we are drinking the same water our ancestors, and before them dinosaurs, drank…very surreal when you think about it.
