    Because your homeowner’s insurance protects you from liability, and that includes things like dog bite claims. Or, if you are a renter, then your renter’s insurance would provide the liability protection. And that protection extends to anywhere you go.

    Or are you talking about a business, wherein you are providing a service to nursing homes? If this is a business, then you may need General Liability insurance protection.

  • You must have a certified therapy pet to do that. Call your local nursing home and tell them you want to bring a pet and ask them what is required.
