Also I prefer BOB to a heavy bag. If you buy the XL version then the base when full of water estimates a total of 275 lbs. When full of sand about 3 – 315. When full of concrete anywhere from 330 to even 350lbs.
What is the difference between a 325 lb BOB and a heavy bag? Yes, BOB can easily be kicked over with a front kick, side kick, back kick, spinning back kick, etc, but you will not punch him down or knock it down with a roundhouse etc. Not to mention it is portable, adjustable, and the top can be stored away. And it can withstand a tremendous amount of abuse.

Unless you check on Craigslist or eBay, you won’t be able to find one for less then $2. Wal-Mart and *****/Sports Authority are your other options, if you can’t find a martial arts supplier or a deal on those websites. Good luck; BOB is good for practice, but shouldn’t replace a heavybag for practice.
