Which laptop should I buy i m gonna study engineering (recommend please)?

i m currently using hp compaq cq57 for surfing internet , watching movies…

the laptop PRICE shouldnt be VERY high

i checked some tech websites but i couldnt choose any for i couldnt compare them

  • To be honest, it doesn’t really matter. Streaming HD on YouTube or playing Sims 3 is much more resource intensive than most “engineering” software. You’ll write a lot of reports and do some math – the website http://www.wolframalpha.com/ will be your friend – and you might install Linux to dual-boot to. So a sufficient hard drive capacity is likely more important than the specs of the computer itself. Furthermore, you want it to be as portable as possible if you’re lugging it around a lot.

    So, essentially, I’m saying that if you’re not going to do gaming, an ultrabook is likely more than powerful enough for you. Here’s a sample Dell Inspiron i15z-1240sLV that might be a good fit:
