Which of these two dresses do you prefer?

Update:

Yeah, the second one would be in white… I actually put a deposit on this one, but was wondering if number one would’ve been better as I could possibly change to this one. Looks like you’re all going with my first instinct so far 🙂

Update 2:

To mushmouse – getting married June 09.

To Lydia – yeah, I’m pretty slim.

To everyone who said no. 2 would be better in ivory – I actually tried ivory on and other shades as well, but white was best with my colouring and that’s why I chose it.

Thanks for all the responses so far, x

  • The second is gorgeous. I have to disagree with another poster that said it was too much like most bride’s dresses.

I actually see this dress to be a bit more refreshing. It’s not strapless, I think the detailing on it is breathtaking. The detailing really gives the dress a very sophisticated feel. In addition, this is not your typical poofy ballgown.

It’s traditional, but still very different then most gowns.

Most dresses I see are rather boring, with little detail. This detailing is really, really unique and well-crafted.

  • OMG!!! I totally love the second dress!!!! I think the color shown would ber prettier then white!!! Some dresses belong white but there are a few that look better in ivory. Ivory has more of a later afternoon, elegant, glamarous factor to it! And of course the WOW factor!!! When i go to a wedding to me the best part of the whole ceremony/reception is when the doors open and the bride walks down the aisle! The dress is what the wedding ceremony revolves around. If you have a glam dress like number 2 then i vision what i wrote earlier,; and the bridesmaids dresses are a darker colored sleek gown, candleabras attatched to the pews with candles and everyone thinking “she is simply stunning”!!!!!

  • Well the first one is sweet and it really has the vintage look, but I absolutely love the second one it is reminiscent of old Hollywood so i think u can get the vintage look if u want but with a more glamorous sophisticated look. Its ur wedding day and u really want to look like u never looked b4 as well look like u may never look again, u wanna look really good. The second one is glamorous and sophisticated but it also has a look that is simple and it will give u the look of looking great without trying very hard. choose number 2 will give a a more special feeling u will stand out. good luck u are gonna look great.

  • The second is too agreeable to modern taste, too like other brides dresses theses days

I prefer the first- you can’t go wrong with a nice train behind you.

As a man I’d rather see my bride-to-be approaching me with a nice train coming behind her, but maybe I’m old fashioned.

Modern fashion has nothing to do with a (hopefully) once in a lifetime wedding

Edit: Wow- Am I really the only guy answering this? something unsettling about that…

  • I love the 2nd one the colour and detail is beautiful but its obviously personal choice whether you want it in white/ivory etc

Im goin for an ivory dress as it suits my colouring better

    Congrats on your wedding!

  • WOWZA! What a couple of stunning dresses. Both are very chic.

I can’t decide. It so much depends on what YOU look like. I love the elegance of the first one, the way the skirt drapes, and the patterns of beading. The second is also gorgeous and the neckline is very sexy but not in a tarty way.

  • Id say the second one too. But I just think it looks nice in the colour that its in, but if you feel white is best, then go for it.

  • Second
