I say we are. We still have the option to travel to places where there is not much light pollution. We have better equipment to view the skies with even cheap binoculars which have more power than what Galileo or the Chinese or Arabian astronomers have used a few millennia ago.

Us because we understand it much better, granted the Myans were amazon with stars and things of the sort, but they could only do so much with what they had.

Both I guess… now put both nice things together and you have an awesome future!!!!
