WHY ARE THERE BUMPS ON MY TATTOO?

So i’ve had a tattoo for months and it healed well and everything, the tattooist used a new needle and new ink and everything.

So when it was completely healed it was smooth, like you could kinda feel the tattoo but not really, and barely days ago little bumps formed on it. If you were to run your hand across it you’d feel the bumps, it’s all bumpy, (it’s on my left forearm by the way) they don’t itch or anything, they’re just there. Think about it, i’ve had it for months and barely days ago little bumps formed on it, why do you think they formed? Thank you!

  • I had the same thing happen to me I have tattoos and none of them have been infected so I knew that wasn’t the problem. I looked it up when I had it and I’m almost positive it was because of the weather. It’s probably the same thing for you and wherever you’re at is just irritating your tattoo. I put some acetonide cream on it (for dry and/or irritated skin) and the bumps healed in about a week. Definitely don’t itch it cause the bumps WILL spread if you do!
