Why do people hate Nickelback?

I think it’s mostly an internet joke that’s just spread really far, but personally, they irritate me and I can’t tell the difference between any of their songs because they all just sound the same

It does seem to be quite common now, it’s like people liking certain bands because they think it makes them musical geniuses. I don’t hate Nickelback but I’m not a fan, the only Nickelback song I really hate is the spiderman one, hero or something…

Lay off of this question. We have all had enough of it. A lot more people than you think love Nickelback and if you look under sales on their Wikipedia page you will see that they sell, as an international act, only second to The Beatles in the US. It’s kind of like an internet trend, I hate on Nickleback as a joke simply because of their tendency to repeat themselves and their cliche works of music, there are a lot of bands like that as well as bands who REALLY deserve the hate, Nickleback is a lot better than several artists out there I must say but people hate on them anyways, so yea it’s more of an internet trend basically, I find them annoying myself but I don’t hate on them as much

because it’s just like a normal thing on the internet these days, it’s a joke that’s sort of got out of hand i think, they’re genuinely not that terrible, there’s an awful lot of worse bands out there :/
