Why do some people think Jehovah God is hardhearted?

I am a having hard time understand why can’t people see that God is good to us, but some of you might think he is hardhearted, so he isn’t.

Is there any reason why you think he is hardhearted, just explain best you can.

Thanks, I’m just asking.

  • There is so much corruption in the world and false religion that people begin to think that God does not love us and blame things on the Almighty. They fail to realized that Satan is the ruler of the world and is filled with evilness because of Satan. Satan also blinds the minds of the unbeliever and makes himself look like an angel of light. Therefore people cant see through the veil that is pulled over their eyes. People today are so wrapped up in their things.

  • Start by reading the Bible. Now ask what it would take for you to kill just about every living organism on the planet regardless of what they did or did not do wrong (even the butterflies) Ask yourself if it is ever justified to turn someone’s wife into salt for the crime of morbid curiosity. Is it ever right to test someone’s resolve by getting them to kill their own child. Please read your Bible, many of us have.

  • Anyone who thinks that God is hardhearted have not read the Bible. His love and his patience goes beyond our understanding. In addition, provided you turn from your wicked ways or the ways of the choice of sin, your sins will be blotted out (Acts 3:19) “Repent, therefore, and turn around so as to get YOUR sins blotted out….”

His purpose is that the human race will have another chance to live without the influence of Satan.

    How is that hardhearted?

  • Many people feel that . ‘If God cared,’ they reason, ‘would not the world be a very different place?’ We look around and see a world full of war, hatred, and misery. And as individuals, we get sick, we suffer, we lose loved ones in death. Thus, many say, ‘If God cared about us and our problems, would he not prevent such things from happening?’
Worse yet, religious teachers sometimes lead people to think that God is hardhearted. When tragedy strikes, they say that it is God’s will. In effect, such teachers blame God for the bad things that happen. It is important to keep in mind, what does the Bible really teach at James 1:13 answers: “When under trial, let no one say: ‘I am being tried by God.’ For with evil things God cannot be tried nor does he himself try anyone.” So God is never the source of the wickedness you see in the world around you. (Job 34:10-12) Granted, he does allow bad things to happen. But there is a big difference between allowing something to happen and causing it.

  • It’s because people see God more as a good person, not a good PARENT. When you misbehave you get grounded or punished by your parents. Similarly, God is not hardhearted but he is a good PARENT. He punishes us when we don’t follow His commands. Sometimes we may feel, “why me?”, but there is always a reason.

  • I find it ridiculous that the JWs come here and say we feel this way because we haven’t read our Bibles. It’s precisely due to Biblical knowledge that we either don’t believe in God or find him repellent.

He murdered thousands for the crime of eating raw meat. He had his ‘chosen’ nation war on its neighbors. He turned a woman to salt for the crime of curiosity. He drove an entire nation into slavery because of the faults of a few. He flooded the whole world to kill millions because he didn’t like the way they were acting. He murdered everyone in a town for the same reason.

And the JW version of God is one who will murder everyone who doesn’t conform to the way their cult thinks in the future. They are hoping and praying for the day the rest of us die so they can move into our houses. All God wants out of people, in their eyes, is to be carbon copies of each other, with no free will, no freedom. They idiotically tell us that God gives us free will so we can worship him, but what kind of freedom is that? It’s nothing less than slavery. I’d rather be dead than be a slave.

If I actually believed this God was real, I would be perceiving him as a sociopath with too much power, and humanity would be doing itself a favor devising a way to kill this monster.

The last thing the JWs understand is how much of the Bible others understand, and their comments here show it.

Screw Jehovah. Medical technology is reaching a point where it can slow aging, and one day years in the future we may be living forever, and without this murderous beast.

  • I’m having a hard time understanding how a “good” God could flood the entire planet, vaporize a city, and have the Amalekites wiped out.

  • People who do not have an accurate knowledge of the bible, may read certain parts of the bible such as the Hebrew Scriptures or Old Testament and they will read about how Jehovah dealt with wicked people back then. Because Jesus had not died as a ransom for mankind at that time, Jehovah would justly execute righteous judgment against the wicked who violated his righteous standards.

He also had his Angels to fight on behalf of his chosen people at that time, the Jews. So if you read these accounts out of context, you might think that Jehovah is cold blooded and hard hearted, but the bible teaches us that Jehovah is actually a God of love, in fact 1 John 4:8 tells that God IS love. He is the personification of love and he demonstrated that love by sacrificing his only begotten son on humans behalf. John 3:16 confirms this:

“16 “For God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life.”

This was the greatest demonstration of love ever made! How many of us would give up the life of our only son to save someone else’s life that we don’t even know and who doesn’t even love us? No one would do that, but Jehovah did it for all of us so that we could have a chance for the perfect everlasting life that he originally purposed for Adam and Eve.

No Jehovah is not hard hearted but he also is not one to be mocked. He will very soon act to destroy all persons who have not come into a relationship with him and submitted their lives to him to do his will. He has been very patient with mankind, hoping that they will listen to the warning he has given in his word the bible and by his witnesses that he is using to spread the message of love on Jehovah’s part to have a new Kingdom Government established on earth as it is already in heaven, that will bring about incredible blessings to all righteous humans!

This message about the Kingdom is being preached in all the inhabited earth for a Witness before the end comes. This in in harmony with Jesus Prophecy at Matthew 24:14:

“14 And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come”.

This is the same Kingdom that Jesus taught his Christian followers to pray for in the Lords Prayer at Matthew 6:9,10:

“9 “YOU must pray, then, this way:
“‘Our Father in the heavens, let your name be sanctified. 10 Let your kingdom come. Let your will take place, as in heaven, also upon earth.”

Yes we have been praying for Jehovah’s Kingdom to come to the earth as it is in heaven. The Prophet Daniel confirms this at Daniel 2:44:

“44 “And in the days of those kings the God of heaven will set up a kingdom that will never be brought to ruin. And the kingdom itself will not be passed on to any other people. It will crush and put an end to all these kingdoms, and it itself will stand to times indefinite”

Yes very soon, Jehovah will bring all human governments to an end and will establish his Kingdom on earth and that will mean that there will be no more pain, suffering, war, corruption, hunger, pollution, violence, and no more sickness, old age, or even death! Notice Jehovah promises at Revelation 21:3,4:

“3 With that I heard a loud voice from the throne say: “Look! The tent of God is with mankind, and he will reside with them, and they will be his peoples. And God himself will be with them. 4 And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.”

That doesn’t sound like a Hardhearted God to me, it sounds like a God of Love who is ready to act on behalf of all righteous people who love and humbly worship him. To learn how you can be one of those ones, click on this link for a free bible study.

  • I think the answer can be found in a persons individual experience. If life has been cruel to them then they might feel that way.

  • You just need top look into the bible.
    It is all in there.

  • I dont think he is hardhearted, I think he is make believe.

  • He’s a fiction, but you can read about his nastiness in the old testament
