Why do we have different expressions/moods?

With the expressions part, most animals have that same, -_- (I don’t give a crap), look on them. Some even look like their just unresponsive. Take a bird, for instance, they never knit their brow or cry or anything. It’s like animals down care. I heard that if I zebra was chanced by a lion, during that chance it’s brain would force them to have one priority: live, then minutes after the zebra gets away, the brain switches the priority to: must eat grass. The zebra would just totally forget the event that just happened in it’s life. One the other hand, if we were chanced by a lion, minutes afterward, we would replay the scenes in our head and think how lucky we are. Make sure we’re ok. Look around just in case. Etc. Not just walk away calmly like nothing happened. What do humans have that other animals don’t?

  • It’s because of the superior size and shape of our brains and our evolution over the millennia (not being anti-animal lol it’s just true). The human brain is like a sophisticated modern supercomputer whereas those of other animals are only designed to process very simple information and to order the body of the animal to do simple necessary tasks. Of course we have to do these tasks too – eat, sleep, reproduce, e.t.c – but we’ve also evolved to think about things over and over again, to think in 3D if you like, in order to design, build, work, play, create, communicate and worry. Animals can’t do any of these things unless genetically programmed by years of evolution to do so, like bees can make honey – but do they ever think of making jam? lol. Obviously not, they’re only programmed to make that one thing. We’ve just evolved more. It’s the obvious explanation.

Other animals never had the chance to become interesting thinkers or designers because they never grew opposable thumbs and thought, “Wow, look what happens when I make stuff out of flint!”. We’re more socially sophisticated seeing as our relationships are a lot more complex which is how we became so expressive.
