Why does my hair get really greasy after I sleep? 10 points best answer :) ?

I am a 13 year old girl with naturally straight thick dark hair. Anyway, after I sleep, or even take a nap, my hair goes really greasy! It really annoys me because I have to wash my hair every day in the morning before school. Then I use my hair dryer, but apparently it’s bad if you use dry your hair every day. I have to use a hair dryer because my hair takes AGES to dry naturally, and I hate having wet hair.
So, my friends, my questions are:
– Why does my hair get greasy after I sleep?
– Is it bad that I dry my hair every day? If it is, what products could I use apart from heat protection so it doesn’t get damaged?
– Can anyone recommend me any good shampoos for greasy hair, their price and where I can buy them baring in mind I live in the UK?
Thanks, all answers are appreciated! 🙂 xxx

  • I’m 16 with short, natural blonde straight hair and I have the exact same problem. I have a shower before bed, my hair is great, clean and fresh, then when I wake up, it seems to be greasy again. So, now I have to get up earlier before school and shower, and it’s usually okay for most of the day.
Everyone has different hair types, and usually, at your age, it’s just puberty, and your hormones are making your head produce alot of grease. I suggest getting dry shampoo, you can get them from anywhere (if you’re in the UK, go to boots/superdrug/home bargains), its a spray dry shampoo and you just rub it in your roots and it absorbs moisture. It won’t make your hair feel/look 100% better, but its a boost.
If that doesn’t work, try using very simple shampoos especially for greasy hair, and try not to keep switching shampoos.
    Hope this helps

I’d say… do you condition your roots? If so, stop. Not good. Only condition the ends. Shampoo twice. Then condition only ends. Hope this helps! Best of luck! Oh! And try not to get a moisturized shampoo if that makes sense.

  • you might be using to much conditioner on your roots. just avoid putting conditioner on roots
